SCH delivers its first ISO 3834 project.
With the roll out of the new revised 7th Edition of the National Specification of Structural Steel work SCH has implemented the ISO 3834 welding quality management system throughout its production procedures. This is another great achievement to add to the growing list of accreditations achieved by SCH in recent years.
Our site team has installed 100 ton of structural steel work after it was fabricated by our in-house team at Newton Aycliffe. It is the first project delivered under our new 3834 management system. The extension will provide the hospital with much needed additional space.
SCH Production Manager Steve Dunn and SCH Quality Inspector Sam Clayton have been working very hard over the last few months pulling together our procedures and policies to ensure we achieve this welding certification. This ensures SCH is fully compliant with all the necessary accreditations required in the steel industry to continue to deliver our structural steel work projects for our clients.
After gaining our Execution class 3 production facility certification in 2014 we once again teamed up with the Steel Construction Certification Scheme (SCCS) who audited our system and certified us prior to the deadline of January 2021.
SCH has an excellent team who deliver a quality product. We believe that the quality of the fabrication and welding practices at our head quarters are second to none and we are very proud of what we all achieve together.
