SCH are ahead of the game with fabrication.

SCH are ahead of the game with fabrication practice and all our fabricators work with air extractors which remove the fumes away from the individual to ensure that we adhere to the latest health and safety legislation.

Our team of fabricators are highly skilled and meet rigorous standards in the field. Each member is a certified welder with expertise in various coding techniques.

To ensure the quality of our welds, we conduct thorough visual inspections, examining every weld with meticulous attention to detail. In addition, our in-house welding inspector performs certified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to further enhance the integrity of the welds.

In addition to our welding expertise, we provide a diverse range of surface treatment solutions. Our state-of-the-art paint shop allows us to customise the finish of our products according to the specific requirements of each project. Whether it's a specialised coating or a particular texture, we have the capabilities to tailor the surface treatment to meet the desired outcome.

We meet all ISO 9001 standards and accredited with ISO3834, and Execution Class 3.

In the UK steelwork market, the ISO 3834 and Execution Class 3 (EXC3) regulations play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of steel fabrication projects.

ISO 3834 is an international standard that outlines comprehensive requirements for the quality management of fusion welding processes. It provides guidelines and best practices to ensure that welding activities are executed to the highest standards, covering aspects such as personnel competency, equipment calibration, material control, and documentation. Adhering to ISO 3834 demonstrates a commitment to achieving consistent and reliable weld quality, reducing the risk of structural failures and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Execution Class 3 (EXC3) is a European standard (EN 1090) specifically designed for steel and aluminium structures. It defines the requirements for the execution of structural steelwork, including welding, in different applications and environments. EXC3 is the highest execution class and is applicable to structures with a high safety risk, such as bridges, stadiums, and industrial buildings. Compliance with EXC3 ensures that the steelwork meets stringent criteria in terms of design, fabrication, and quality control, guaranteeing the structural integrity and safety of the finished products.

In the UK steelwork market, ISO 3834 and EXC3 regulations are of utmost importance as they provide a framework for fabricators to meet industry standards and legal requirements. By following these regulations, fabricators demonstrate their commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and reliable steelwork projects that comply with national and international norms. This not only enhances the reputation of the fabricators but also instils confidence in clients, engineers, and regulatory bodies regarding the integrity and performance of the steel structures.
