SCH Site Services has completed another successful collaboration, this time with Seymour Civil Engineering Contractors LTD in Hartlepool, working for STRABAG. The project was a crucial pre-storage area building, and it showcased our expertise in hot and cold-rolled steel construction.

The structure was designed and fabricated to ensure it was fully galvanized, guaranteeing long-lasting durability and protection against the elements.

This project involved handling a substantial total weight of approximately 100 tons, underlining our capabilities in managing large-scale steelwork.

One of the unique challenges of this project was the need to accommodate a crane outside the building's footprint due to the load on the preformed slab.

SCH Site Services worked closely with STRABAG, emphasising the collaborative nature of this project. It required careful coordination, particularly as STRABAG initially installed steelwork that we subsequently worked over to incorporate the new building. This arrangement allowed for more efficient access to specific areas of the site.

To overcome the challenges posed by the construction site, we utilised our powerful 70-ton crane and specialist cherry pickers. These cherry pickers were instrumental in reaching over pre-installed steelwork and ensuring precise installation.

The SCH Site Services team dedicated three weeks to this project, ensuring that all steelwork was supplied and erected to the highest standards.

This successful collaboration and the completion of the Pre-Storage Area Building underscore our commitment to delivering high-quality steelwork solutions for complex projects.
