Transformative journey at Darlington Railway Museum

A multi-faceted project that spans six key areas...

SCH Site Services is proud to have contributed to the transformative journey at Darlington Railway Museum, a multi-faceted project that spans six key areas.

Having successfully completed the A1 Shed and provided essential steel supports for the Head of Steam building, we are currently immersed in the innovative VR Pod. This cutting-edge addition not only bolsters education but also allows children to embark on virtual journeys through the rich history of railways.

Our involvement has extended to the Carriage Works, where original train works are receiving a refurbishment with meticulous placement of steelwork.

Over in the Goods Shed, we're restoring historical spaces, including the integration of supporting frames and steelwork above the toilet block.

The completion of the 1861 section marks a significant milestone, showcasing our expertise in reinforcing structures to support new developments.

As a collaborative effort with Willmott Dixon spanning two years, the project is on the cusp of fruition.

Looking ahead, accessibility between the A1 Shed and the original museum will be improved, ensuring safety and ease for visitors navigating the nearby train line.

Stay tuned for the exciting finale to this remarkable venture!

AT SCH, WE PROVIDE A PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY SERVICE, WORKING WITH YOU FROM THE START TO FINISH OF YOUR PROJECT.
