The Catterick Garrison town centre redevelopment is a key Levelling Up initiative, backed by £15.3 million of UK Government funding. Led by Willmott Dixon, the project will reshape the area around Shute Road and Coronation Park, creating a modern, accessible town centre designed around community needs.

At the heart of the scheme is a new town square and a purpose-built community and enterprise hub, supported by improved public spaces, safer pedestrian routes and upgraded landscaping. The vision is to create a more vibrant, functional environment that encourages footfall, supports local business and strengthens the connection between the military community and the town.

SCH’s package covers the fabrication and installation of 180 tonnes of structural steelwork, including all supporting elements required to form the primary structure. Lift shaft preparation and associated on-site works are progressing smoothly, coordinated closely with the wider programme to maintain pace across the development.

Working collaboratively with Willmott Dixon and other key partners, our teams are playing a central role in delivering a reliable, quality-assured steel framework that will support the long-term success and durability of the scheme.
