Plater welder

Job description:

The role of a Plater/Welder Fabricator at SCH Site Services is a factory based role involving a varied workload. As a Plater/Welder Fabricator you will be a representative of SCH Site Services and will be expected to adhere to the company expectations of behaviour, dress code and standards of work. The standard working hours are 44.5 hours per week. There will be opportunities for training and development within the role. Good health and safety practices are paramount.
Main Duties involve:

• Follow and ad here to all health and safety rules and good practices
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
• Measuring and marking out plates and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling and assembly.
• Operating hand held plasma cutting machine.
• Cutting slots/holes in metal and drilling.
• Use of cranes for moving and assembling fabrications.
• Operating hand-controlled machines.
• Competent at Tacking & welding fabricated parts together using fabrication drawings.
• Any other ad hoc task you may be asked to complete

Salary:

£15 per hour

Number of hours working: 

44.5

Experience required:

Must have a good knowledge of structural steel work and the necessary skills to carry out the role

Time served and a good level of experience
